What is IconPacks.com?

At IconPacks.com™ you can find all types of icons for use in your websites, services or software. The site is designed to be as easy to use as possible so that you can quickly find the icons you need and license them for full commercial use within your projects.

What is a "Commercial Icon Usage License"?

When you purchase an 'icon license' from IconPacks.com you gain the unlimited commercial rights to use these icons within your commercial projects. The license is non-exclusive and is a one-off once only fee.

What can I do with the icons?

You can use the icons you license in any way you need to, within your websites, menus, interfaces, books, cd's, skins, etc... the only exception is that you are NOT allowed to re-sell the icons as icon sets or icon packs - either in whole or in part.

What does 'non-exclusive' use mean?

'Non-exclusive' simply means that you and your company don't own the sole rights to use the icons. Meaning they will be sold to other clients if and when they order them through our site.

Do you offer custom icon design services?

Yes, we now offer custom icon design services. Please contact us with the details of your project and we will get you a quote for your work as soon as possible.

Are all the icons unique?

Yes, all of our icons are unique and no two are exactly the same in any of the icon packs we offer.

If I buy the licenses, do I own the icons completely?

You own the rights to use the icons commercially as much as you like, and in any way you like, however you do not actually own the copyrights to the icons, they remain with IconPacks.com™

Can I re-sell the icons on my site?

No you may not re-sell our icon packs, this is something that we expressly forbid without our written permission. Please contact us if you wish to discuss this.

Is my 'Parent Company' licensed to use the Icon packs I purchased?

No, if you are a subsidiary company to your 'parent company' - they may not use the icons commercially without another separate icon license. However if you are the 'parent company' then your subsidiary companies may use your licensed icons.

Does the 'large preview' show ALL of the icons?

Yes, when you click on the 'Large Preview' link next to the small icon preview, you will be shown a preview of EVERY icon within that particular icon pack. The only exception is when there are many colour variations within a pack - if this is the case there will be a sample window showing examples of the other colours available.

Do the icon packs get updated?

Yes, over time the icon packs will get updated with either new icons, updated improved icons, larger versions of the icons or new colour schemes. If you have chosen to receive email updates you will be alerted of this.

I can't see the type of icons I'm looking for, can I request them?

If you can't see the type of icons you need you may request that they be created. When enough interest is shown in these type of icons - they will be created and placed up for license on the site.

What internet payment company do you use?

IconPacks.com uses WorldPay to handle our payments, they are a world leader in Internet Payment and have cutting edge, secure technologies that ensure all of your details are handled efficiently and safely through their system. They are the same company used by Freeserve, SonyMusic and thousands of other big names.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes, we have a full refund policy. If our icons aren't what you expected, and you would like your money back for whatever reason; we have a 30 day money back guarantee on the purchase of any and all of the icon licenses we offer.

If you wish to file for a full refund please do so within 30 days of ordering, and contact us using your name, email address and order number ( your IPACKS # ) - and we will process your request as soon as possible for you.

Please note: that after you receive your refund you may still use the icons for personal use however you will have lost all rights to use the icons in a commercial way, and your icon license will be revoked and cancelled.

What is my IPACKS order number?

Your IPACKS order number is a 10 digit number given to you after you place an order with us for a commercial icon license. (e.g. IPACKS-02117-16125 ) Please remember this number, because should you ever need to re-download your icon packs or license documents, you will need it.

I have lost my IPACKS order number, how can recover it?

If you cannot remember your IPACKS number please contact us with the details of your order (the date and your email address) and we will send your IPACKS number to the email address you used for the order.

Do you accept payment via PayPal?

Yes, payment via PayPal is supported on a manual per-case basis, please contact us for details.

What currencies do you allow payment in?

Through our WorldPay payment service we support payments in Euros, US Dollars and Pounds Sterling. If you would like to make a significant payment in another currency please contact us and we can arrange for that currency to be added to our automated payment system.

Who designs the icons at IconPacks.com?

Every icon we offer on the site has been created by our in-house designer, he has been creating professional, commercial icons for several years and has over 10,000 icons worth of experience behind him, including several large clients & software applications, websites and mobile phone interfaces.

What image formats do the icons come in?

We provide the icons in all of the standard image formats that you will need; these include: windows 24bit .ico files for VB, Delphi and C programming IDE's. 24bit .bmp's (with a RGB:255,0,255 transparency mask) for use in toolbars and other programming projects. And 256 colour transparent .gif files for website usage in HTML and Flash projects.

For your convenience we also provide the icons bundled all together as icon libraries (.icl files) and as .dll files for easy compact access to them. All icon packs on our site include at the very least these 5 file formats.

Can I modify and alter the icons for my own needs?

We do allow some small changes to colour & shape - however we do not allow drastic changes to be made. If you have a specific need or request, please contact us before doing so.

I like some of the icons but not others, can I pick and mix between the packs?

No, at the moment we do not offer this service, although may do in future. Many of the packs have been specifically designed into 'categories' to minimize any problems in this area.

Are the icons digitally 'water-marked' in any way?

No, we do not water-mark the icons visually or digitally in any way - nor do we plan to in the future.

Can I use the icons on websites, and if so how?

Yes, you can use the icons within websites very easily. All icon packs come with .gif versions of the icons - this makes them very compatible with any browsers and webpages or flash sites you might need to add them to.

I like the icons in one pack, but not the colour of them - is there a way to get them in another colour?

Some packs come in more than one colour. Please check that this is not the case with the one you are interested in. If the colour is not included you may request it to be created - if enough interest is shown in this from others, that colour will be created and the icon pack will be updated.

I have a shareware project that I want to use some IconPacks.com icons in, is that commercial use?

Yes, shareware is considered commercial - and a license would be needed.

I have a freeware project that I would like to use some IconPacks.com icons in, do I need to buy a license?

No, you don't need to purchase a license however we will handle these requests on a per-case basis, please email us using our contact page to request this kind of icon use. In these cases, credit in the form of a text copyright and link is always required.

Are you interested in an affiliate scheme to re-sell your icons?

We may be interested in this, depending on the situation and the nature of the site that is re-selling our icon packs. Please contact us for details.

I am getting sent email updates and don't want them anymore, how do I cancel them?

To stop receiving your email updates when new icon packs are released or updated, simply log into your order page at: customer.iconpacks.com using your IPACKS order number and your email address and you will see an option to 'change' to not receive email updates.

I have lost my icons and PDF license, can I re-download them?

Yes you can, just login to your customer order page at: customer.iconpacks.com using your IPACKS order number and email address - then you can check your order details, and re-download any icon packs and license documents.

Am I required to place a copyright for the use of the icons in our products?

No, we do not require any copyright text or credit mention anywhere in your software, websites or services. You own the rights to display and use them wherever you like without the need to mention IconPacks.com in any way at all.

What is your privacy policy, and what do you do with my details?

Our privacy policy can be read here - it is very simple, we understand your concerns and will never impose on your privacy at our site. We have a single shopping cart cookie that we use to track what icon packs you have selected (if any). If you order from us, we keep your details encrypted and safe in our secure database and we never release or sell any personal details to 3rd parties.

Your credit card details are NOT held on our systems, they remain on our internet payment processor's system (i.e. WorldPay). We do not have access to any of your sensitive data as all of the payment is handled by them, and your details remain completely secure on their encrypted system at all times.
